About Esme Livingston

 

I grew up in the heart of Snowdonia, immersed in the Welsh culture despite living in an English household. I spent half my youngest years being carried up all the mountains of Snowdonia (and a few in Scotland) and in my mid teens walking them myself. They're irrevocably a part of me and I find that transfers itself inevitably into my work.

 

I am also, without a shadow of a doubt or shame, a complete and utter Nerd. As one can imagine life in the country can keep a young person isolated and as such I often buried myself into fictional worlds. Now I find I cannot exist without a good fictional universe to debate and converse about. Moreso it taught me the power of language and gifted me with a passion to both dissect and create works of literature. 

 

My work covers many disciplines and subjects, from the political to the fictional. But it is always made from the soul. Whatever I make it is always a part of me that I give away with each creation.
